Adapted from the 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger and the 2006 film starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, The Devil Wears Prada the musical brings a fresh theatrical vision to a beloved story. The book is by Kate Wetherhead, with music by Elton John and lyrics by Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick.
The West End production is directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell, and features design work by Tim Hatley (sets) and Gregg Barnes (costumes).The West End version opened in October 2024 at the Dominion Theatre after a UK premiere engagement in Plymouth. The debut cast includes Vanessa Williams as Miranda Priestly, and Matt Henry as Nigel.
