Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, first published in 1886, remains one of the most enduring stories of Victorian gothic fiction. Exploring the idea that good and evil exist within the same person, the novella reflects social anxieties about reputation, science, and morality in 19th century London.

This tour forms part of DTC’s Revision on Tour, which pairs classic literature with engaging theatre making. Designed to support learning while standing confidently as a night of drama, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde sits alongside Macbeth and A Christmas Carol in the programme. The result is a dark, compelling production that continues to speak to modern audiences through its timeless warnings.
