Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo is heading to the West End to star as Mark Cohen in a new revival of Rent. The production, celebrating the musical’s 30th anniversary, will begin performances at London’s Duke of York’s Theatre this September.

Rent features music, lyrics and book by Jonathan Larson and first premiered in the 1990s, quickly becoming one of the most influential musicals of its time. Inspired by Puccini’s La Bohème, the show reimagines the story within a contemporary urban setting, focusing on a community of young people striving to create, love and survive.
This new production, directed by Luke Sheppard, will star Gaten Matarazzo as Mark.
