Show Info

In 1984, as the coal industry faced upheaval, activist Mark Ashton founded Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners. The group brought LGBTQ+ activists together with mining communities in South Wales. Pride tells the real-life story of two disparate communities joining forces and making history.

This new musical brings together director Matthew Warchus and writer Stephen Beresford, who also worked together on the film Pride. Original songs by composers Christopher Nightingale, Josh Cohen and DJ Walde draw on protest anthems, pop, rock, disco and Welsh choral music.

The production is recommended for ages 12+. Running time is 2 hours 30 minutes, including an interval.
