Moulin Rouge, The Musical is based on the much loved Baz Luhrmann film. It takes the spirit of the original story and sets it within a jukebox score made up of well known songs from across the decades. The stage version first opened in the United States before becoming a success in London, earning strong praise for its design, choreography and inventive use of popular music.
The show follows Christian, a young writer, who becomes enchanted by Satine, the star performer of the famous Paris cabaret. Their romance plays out in a world of artistic dreams, fierce ambition and the pressures that come with life inside the Moulin Rouge.
