The musical chronicles the life and career of Chaka Khan - from her early days vocalising in bands, through her breakthrough with the group Rufus, and into her decades-long career as a solo legend. It honours how she redefined funk, soul and R & B, and draws on the full richness of her catalogue to weave a story of talent, resilience, and self-belief.
Created with a book by Nia T. Hill, direction by Racky Plews, and choreography by Jade Hackett, the show promises a respectful, high-energy tribute to one of music’s most influential voices.
