A bear searches everywhere for his missing hat, a fish makes a bold choice that may not end well, and two turtles face a tricky problem when they both like the same hat.

I Want My Hat Back is based on Jon Klassen’s award winning picture books, I Want My Hat Back, This is Not My Hat, and We Found A Hat. Known for their spare text and visual wit, the books have become modern classics, loved for trusting children to understand subtle jokes and moral twists. This stage version brings the three stories together as a connected theatrical experience.
The production is directed by Ian Nicholson, with design by Sam Wilde, whose visual style closely reflects Klassen’s original illustrations.
