Gravity is built around the remarkable careers of Kerry Ellis, Louise Dearman and Rachel Tucker, three performers closely associated with leading roles in major musicals in the UK and on Broadway. All three are widely known for playing Elphaba in Wicked, with Ellis the first British performer in the role, Dearman the only actor to have played both Elphaba and Glinda, and Tucker performing the role on both sides of the Atlantic. The title reflects both the signature song and the weight of experience the trio bring to the stage.
The concert showcases songs from a wide range of productions that have shaped their careers. Alongside Wicked, the programme draws from shows such as We Will Rock You, Cats, Oliver, My Fair Lady, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Guys and Dolls, Evita, Joseph, Sunset Boulevard, Chicago and more.
